Hi, I’m Hayley
I’m an award-winning photographer based in Weston, just 10 minutes from Oamaru, and I feel incredibly lucky to do what I do. My studio is filled with everything you could possibly need, from newborn props and maternity gowns to boudoir lingerie, but what really matters to me are the stories and emotions that unfold here.

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mum was a photographer, so I picked up a camera in my teens and quickly discovered the magic of capturing people’s most important moments. By my twenties I had fallen in love with maternity and newborn photography, and before long boudoir became just as close to my heart.

After having my son in 2019, I found myself struggling with body confidence. When I began offering boudoir sessions, I discovered how healing they could be, not just for my clients but for me too. Boudoir is for every woman, no matter your size, shape, or stage of life. I pride myself on creating an experience where women of all body types feel incredible and confident. Almost every client tells me they are nervous at the start, but as soon as we begin, the nerves melt away and something magical happens. Watching women leave my studio standing taller and glowing with self-love is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.

My own struggles with fertility and loss have also shaped the way I see my work. They opened my eyes to how fragile and precious life is, and how deeply some families long for the moments that others may take for granted. This is why maternity and newborn photography mean so much to me. These moments are fleeting and irreplaceable, and it is a privilege to capture them.

So many mums have told me they regret not having maternity photos, which is why I gift a complimentary maternity session with every newborn booking. It’s my way of making sure you don’t miss out on celebrating this chapter. My newborn sessions are calm, baby-led, and filled with patience and love. The little details — milk spots, flaky skin, the way tiny fingers curl around a parent’s thumb — are moments that vanish so quickly, but photographs preserve them forever.
